CCMA Performance Workshop: Presented by Tom Jackson Productions
The CCMA Performance Workshop during Country Music Week, presented by Tom Jackson Productions, has become a tradition at the Canadian Country Music Association’s annual industry conference. Each year, the CCMA Performance Workshop is an exceptionally well-attended event, where industry professionals – both artists and business reps – absorb all of the information the revered Tom Jackson has to offer.
Tom Jackson and his Live Music Method – an Extreme Makeover Approach – is known for his ability to transform a performance and connect artists/acts with their audiences. Jackson has worked with an impressive array of artists, and one lucky CCMA Member or group will have the opportunity to work with him this September in Halifax.
If you are a CCMA Member in good standing, and are attending Country Music Week in Halifax this September 10 – 13, you are invited to put your name forward to work with Tom Jackson at the CCMA Performance Workshop on Sunday, September 13.
Interested acts/artists should meet the following criteria:
Option A
Five piece band:
- lead singer (doesn't have to play an instrument, but okay if he/she does)
- lead guitar player
- keyboard player
- bass player
- drummer
Option B
Five piece band:
- lead singer (doesn't have to play an instrument, but okay if he/she does)
- lead guitar player
- second guitar player
- bass player
- drummer
Option C
Singer/songwriter who plays acoustic guitar
Selection Process:
The Tom Jackson Productions team will review all applications and based on submissions will decide upon a CCMA Member artist/act that would:
- Benefit most from the training
- Lend themselves well in front of a live audience/Is relatable for the audience
- Is planning on attending Country Music Week as a delegate
Please note: no additional compensation in the form of travel or expenses will be covered for the selected artist/act.
Interested artists/acts should submit the following to Susan Jackson via email at susan@tomjacksonproductions.com by Friday, July 24, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. ET
- Band/Artist Name and 100-word bio
- Website and socials
- YouTube link to live performance or video file attachment of live performance
The CCMA Member chosen for the performance workshop opportunity will be notified the week of July 27, 2015. Communications about the performance spot being filled will be sent to the CCMA Membership the week of August 3, 2015.
