CCMA SONGWRITERS' SERIES

It's impossible to ignore what some consider to be the greatest aspect of country music, and what makes it resonate as a genre - the song writing. The CCMA Songwriters’ Series celebrates the crafting of original songs and the stories behind the words, indulging listeners with both new and familiar faces in the process. This three-day, acoustic performance event – a marque series as part of PotashCorp Country Music Week – is sure to inspire and evoke strong emotions in all who attend.

CCMA DISCOVERY SHOWCASE
This is a not-to-be-missed event for anyone looking to discover the “next big thing” in Canadian country music. The six finalists of the 2017 CCMA Discovery Program – a national initiative to support emerging Canadian country artists – will come together one last time during PotashCorp Country Music Week for the CCMA Discovery Showcase. In preparation for this exclusive performance, finalists travelled from across Canada to partake in Music Industry Discovery Week in Toronto this past spring; receiving unparalleled educational, mentorship, networking and exposure opportunities unlike any other program offered in the country genre. With the intense week behind them, these future stars are ready to take the stage and show the music industry and fans alike how they can command a performance. Come join in the excitement as each finalist performs separately, vying for the attention of a secret panel of judges who are onsite to decide who will be 2017’s CCMA Discovery Award winner.

Tickets for each individual CCMA Songwriters’ Series session are $25.00 each (plus fees). CCMA Discovery Showcase tickets are also $25.00 each (plus fees). Buy a ticket to each of the three CCMA Songwriters’ Series sessions, and get your ticket to the CCMA Discovery Showcase for FREE (available via phone or in-person purchase only). Tickets are available via TCU Place (online, in-person at the TCU Place Box Office and by phone at 888-639-7770) as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20.
