Country Music Week Kicks Off This Thursday in Grand Parade
WHAT:
Country Music Week Kick-Off Event
A tradition of the Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is to officially launch Country Music Week with an event that incorporates the host city community. This Thursday, September 10, at 12:00 p.m., the CCMA and Country Music Week Host Committee invite Nova Scotians to join the fun in Grand Parade and #PumpUpTheCountry as Country Music Week 2015 is officially launched.
After brief remarks from key figures, Halifax Dance will entertain crowds with a performance to a mash-up of some of Canadian country music’s biggest hits over the last year; then they’ll teach the dance to local dignitaries, CCMA Award nominees and artists, and spectators so that everyone can join in the fun. In addition, several Country Music Week partners and sponsors will be onsite to add to the excitement, including Feed Nova Scotia, who will be collecting donations.
Don’t miss this historic event as Halifax officially welcomes Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards Show back to the city for the first time in over 30 years!
