FRANCK BOUCHERAUD TO RECEIVE THE
2017 LEONARD T. RAMBEAU INTERNATIONAL AWARD

September 1, 2017 (Toronto, ON)  – The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) announced today that Franck Boucheraud will receive the 2017 Leonard T. Rambeau International Award during an industry awards ceremony during PotashCorp Country Music Week in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

“Franck Boucheraud’s unwavering commitment to elevate Canadian country music in France, and Europe is unparalleled,” said Ted Ellis, Chair of the CCMA Board of Directors. “The international exposure he has given our members is truly exceptional. We’re grateful to have such a passionate partner of our industry abroad”.

A resident of Orléans, France, Boucheraud has been working as a Talent Buyer for the American Tours Festival in Tours, France since 2008. Despite having spent time in the United States earlier in his career, Boucheraud consciously decided to focus his efforts on elevating Canadian artists in the country genre at the festival by implementing a Canadian Music Night and exclusively featuring Canadian acts.

Since the inception of Canadian Music Night, Boucheraud has worked diligently to support both up and coming and established Canadian artists, and travels to Country Music Week in Canada every year to scout out the latest success stories and acts with potential. The American Tours Festival has featured such Canadian acts as Gord Bamford, Brett Kissel, One More Girl, The Washboard Union, and many more.

“It is truly an honour to be receiving this prestigious award from the Canadian Country Music Association,” said Franck Boucheraud, recipient of the 2017 Leonard T. Rambeau International Award. “For nearly ten years now, it has been my pleasure to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between the American Tours Festival and CCMA artists and acts. We are just getting started! The best is yet to come.”

2018 marks the American Tours Festival’s 10th anniversary of Canadian Country Music Night.
