Leah Daniels announced as 2014 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest Winner

The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is pleased to announce that Uxbridge, Ontario’s Leah Daniels is the winner of the 2014 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest. Daniels had been selected to represent the Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAO) in this fan-voted contest hosted online by the CCMA. The highlights of winning this contest include securing a performance spot at one industry and one public event during this year’s Country Music Week in Edmonton, Alberta, September 4 – 7.

Firstly, Daniels will perform at the CCMA Industry Lunch & Awards, the first awards ceremony held during Country Music Week, where some of Canada’s most influential industry professionals in the areas of radio, retail, design, direction and production will be onsite and honoured for their achievements. Secondly, she’ll perform as part of the CCMA Pre-Show, Countdown Concert. A mere hours before the official 2014 CCMA Awards broadcast begins inside Rexall Place, the place to be will be the Pre-Show. This family-friendly and free event, taking place just outside of Rexall, will feature a Countdown Concert consisting of some of Canada’s favourite county artists, including Daniels. The Countdown Concert, which also includes a fan-friendly host, food trucks, vendors and a photo booth for fans to capture the fun, will lead into the CCMA and John Deere Green Carpet arrivals for the official broadcast. Aside from these coveted performance spots, Daniels will also collect additional prizing.

Thank you to the Provincial Country Music and Provincial Music Industry Associations from across Canada who supported and endorsed their local country talent in this national initiative; and congratulations, Leah!
