Danielle Marie announced as 2015 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest Winner

July 8, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is pleased to announce that British Columbia’s Danielle Marie is the winner of the 2015 CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest. Danielle was selected to represent the British Columbia Country Music Association (BCCMA) in this fan-voted contest hosted online by the CCMA. The highlight of winning this contest is the performance spot that Danielle has secured for herself at the fan-favourite Legends Show: A Tribute to Yesterday and Today, taking place during this year’s Country Music Week, being held from September 10 – 13 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Legends Show features cherished artists of Canadian country music alongside rising stars of the genre for an unforgettable evening of collaborations and performances. This year’s show, presented by The Berkeley, will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Rebecca Cohen Theatre. The Legends Show line-up will be announced soon, with tickets going on sale later this month.

“The CCMA family stretches from coast to coast; and despite the vastness of the country, our organization prides itself on its tight-knit community,” says CCMA President, Don Green. “This CCMA Spotlight Performance Contest, now in its fifth year, is an initiative that champions the provincial music industry associations we work closely with all year long, and elevates artists by giving them an online platform to align with the CCMA at a national level. We’re thrilled for Danielle, and can’t wait to see her in Halifax.”

In addition to her performance spot on the Legends Show, Danielle will also receive a full delegate pass to Country Music Week, accommodations and airfare, and a one-year membership to both the CCMA and BCCMA.
