Tracy Martin Announced as Interim President of the Canadian Country Music Association

(Toronto, ON) June 1, 2017 – The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) Board of Directors are pleased to announce Tracy Martin as the Interim President of the association, effective June 26, 2017, filling the role recently vacated by President, Don Green.

Martin is a media executive with 16 years of experience in marketing, production, TV programming, as well as digital, artist and event management. In her most recent position at Corus Entertainment, she ran the scheduling and production teams for the W Network, OWN, Lifetime, Cosmo and Country Music Television, in addition to overseeing the launch of the CMT Music Festival last summer. She has been a Director on the CCMA Board for the past two years and managed the broadcast relationship between CMT Canada and the CCMA Awards Show for the past three years. Prior to her work at Corus, Martin was head of marketing for MuchMusic and MTV as well as the Vice President of Strategy at Pyramid Productions.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Board, the CCMA staff and the membership of the association to continue to grow this amazing format,” says Martin. “It is an exciting time for country music and I want to thank the CCMA Board of Directors for giving me the opportunity to lead the team into the next chapter.”

Martin has the full support of the CCMA staff and Board of Directors as she steps into the Interim President role. The CCMA Board has already begun an executive search for a permanent President of the association and is reviewing its organizational structure.
