Volunteer for Country Music Week - Applications Now Open!
Halifax will be welcoming Canadian country music’s biggest stars this fall as we host Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards Show, September 10-13, 2015. This marks the first time Halifax has hosted country music’s biggest week since 1982.
Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards Show, managed by the Canadian Country Music Association, make up a four-day music conference and community celebration, culminating in the nationally-broadcast CCMA Awards Show on Sunday, September 13.
This is one of the largest music events in Canada, with activities for fans, musicians and industry attendees, including showcase opportunities for new artists, educational seminars, and an all-day FanFest.
This awesome event is only possible through the dedication of a team of fun-loving, hard-working volunteers. We need your help! We’re currently looking for people for a wide variety of roles to help before, during and after the event.
You don’t have to work on a ranch or ride a horse, but you do need to have a great attitude and a burning desire to welcome visitors from across the country to help put on one of the biggest celebrations of the year.
To volunteer, simply visit www.EventsNovaScotia.com/be-a-volunteer and create your online volunteer profile. After creating your profile, choose “Event Sign Up” at the top of the screen and you will be directed to the sign up page for Country Music Week.
Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of three shifts. A $30 fee is payable September 8th at volunteer orientation.
CCMA volunteers are a part of a highly-valued team. Though you aren’t being paid, your indispensable support is compensated in many different ways. All volunteers will receive the following:
Access to the volunteer lounge for food and refreshments during each and every shift
- Awesome free uniforms that are yours to keep
- Participation in an exciting volunteer orientation/recognition event
- Opportunities to gain valuable skills and make new friends
- Free transportation during Country Music Week (via Halifax Transit)
- Complimentary tickets to select Country Music Week events
If you have any questions about the Nova Scotia Volunteer Database or any difficulty during sign-up, please contact Angela Dennison at Angela@EventsNovaScotia.com or 902-798-6886.
Help Halifax get its country on in 2015! We’ll see you there.
