Volunteer for Country Music Week 2016 in London!
(London, ON) London will be welcoming Canadian country music’s biggest stars this fall as we host the 40th edition of Country Music Week, and the 2016 CCMA Awards Show, September 8-11, 2016. This marks the first time London has hosted country music’s biggest week!
Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards Show, managed by the Canadian Country Music Association, make up a four-day music conference and community celebration, culminating in the nationally broadcast awards show on Sunday, September 11.
This is one of the largest music events in Canada, with activities for fans, musicians and industry attendees, including showcase opportunities for new artists, educational seminars and an all-day FanFest.
“We are excited to call upon London’s incredible volunteer network to work with us in producing an incredible event this September as London hosts our national country music industry and fans from across the country,” said Chris Campbell, Chair of London’s Country Music Week Host Committee. “Country Music Week presents a tremendous opportunity to showcase London’s music industry, venues and community to a national audience. Our 3M Volunteers will be integral to our overall success.”
The CCMA and Country Music Week London Host Committee are thrilled to welcome partner, 3M, as sponsor of the volunteers who will be ambassadors for the city of London, Country Music Week and the CCMA from September 8 – 11.
Country Music Week is only possible through the dedication of a team of fun-loving, hard-working volunteers. We need your help! We’re currently looking for people for a wide variety of roles to help before, during and after the event.
You don’t have to work on a ranch or ride a horse, but you do need to have a great attitude and a burning desire to welcome visitors from across the country to help put on one of the biggest celebrations of the year.
To apply, simply visit www.LondonTourism.ca and create your online volunteer profile. After creating your profile, choose “Event Sign Up” at the top of the screen and you will be directed to the sign up page for Country Music Week.
A limited number of Country Music Week 3M Volunteer positions are available. Interested applicants will be able to put their name forward for volunteer positions in association with Country Music Week via the London Tourism website from Thursday, June 16, 2016 until Friday, June 24, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Country Music Week 3M Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of three shifts. Each shift will be approximately four hours in length.
The volunteer team at Country Music Week is highly valued. Although these are unpaid volunteer positions, the indispensable support of the volunteer team will be compensated in many different ways. All Country Music Week 3M Volunteers will receive the following:
- Access to the 3M Volunteer Lounge for food and refreshments during each and every shift
- Country Music Week gear that is yours to keep following the event
- Participation in an exciting volunteer orientation event
- Opportunities to gain valuable skills, make new friends and be part of a historic event for London
- Invitation to a post-event 3M Volunteer Appreciation Evening at the London Music Hall, September 13, 2016, time TBA. (includes snacks, drinks, live performances and prize draws)
