J. Edward Preston

BIOGRAPHY:

J. Edward Preston’s early years in the music industry were spent producing live radio broadcasts including the famed Main Street Jamboree Show out of Hamilton, Ontario.

He first moved into the record company world with RCA Canada and later, while holding the position of Vice-President and General Manager of BMG Music Canada from 1976 to 1982, J. Edward Preston played a significant role in the promotion and production of Canadian music, helping to advance the careers of numerous Canadian country stars.

Preston also formed Ed Preston Enterprises and EPE Records in 1994, encouraging and fostering new Canadian talent. He managed the career and promotion of international star Roger Whittaker and his Tambo Records Company, which included some of Carroll Baker’s recording projects of the 1980’s.
